Metee Kansa is my adopted brother from Thailand; we met while he was completing his doctoral studies at Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, USA. As I got to knowMetee, I learned of his great compassion to help improve the lives of his Country Folk.He grew up in a simple country Village where life was hard, and modern amenities few. He learned the value of family and friends helping each other survive and grow. He has now dedicated his life to teaching students and young people how to improve their lives and become good world citizens. He uses his own income to unselfishly help all who are willing to learn. I am proud to know this kind, loving, hard working servant of others.

In the 20 + years I have known Metee, I have known him to be a very generous and well-intended individual. Metee has a strong desire to help his fellow humans understand the importance of world peace and has devoted much effort toward that goal. He is an intelligent man and I have faith in his efforts. He will always be a dear friend whom I greatly admire.

Geng is one of my students who witnessed my projects in the village. Because we both were from Ubon and have similar background, we became good friends, and he has helped me a lot with teaching kids in the village and others. He is also the one who helped me create this Blog. In addition, he is an active member of the English Crazy Club, a non-profit volunteer group of UBU which helps organize English camps in different provinces in Thailand. He also once won a Japanese speech contest and got an opportunity to visit Japan. He is a good and smart kid who got a scholarship from the English department to further his M.A. at Thammasart University, Bangkok. This means that he will be both my student and my colleague in the near future. I feel thankful that he is an understanding and helpful friend of mine.

Although he is only a dog to most people, Oscar is also a good friend of mine.
